Privacy policy

Peaberry collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. It couldn't if it tried: the app is built without network access.

What the app does not do

• It makes no network connections. Its App Sandbox entitlements grant no network access, so macOS would refuse a connection if it attempted one.
• It has no analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking, and no account to sign in to.
• It collects no personal data. Its App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”.

What stays on your Mac

• Your settings, including your scenes and the process names you type, are stored in the app's own preferences on your Mac. They never leave it.
• To decide whether to keep the Mac awake, Peaberry reads information on your Mac as it goes: the running processes and, for your own processes, their arguments and CPU use (only while a rule needs them); overall CPU load; how long since your last keyboard or mouse input; the power source and battery level; which other apps are keeping the Mac awake; scheduled sleep; and your wallpaper, when a scene hides the desktop behind it. It uses this on the spot and doesn't send it anywhere.
• If you install the AI agent skill by choosing a folder, Peaberry keeps a bookmark to that folder so it can update the file there later.
• Reminders about timed scenes are local notifications, scheduled on your Mac.

Requests from other programs

• Programs on your Mac, such as AI agents, can ask Peaberry to keep the Mac awake through peaberry:// links. A request carries only a process ID or a number of minutes, a short name and a short reason.
• Letting programs ask is a switch in Settings › AI agents that only you can turn on. Until you do, Peaberry lets the first request through in Smart control for at most 15 minutes, so work in progress isn't lost; other requests wait in the panel for your answer. Every request is shown in the panel, where you can stop it.
• Programs you run can read Peaberry's status from its command-line options (--status, --brief), including the names of processes your rules matched. This stays on your Mac.

The App Store

Peaberry comes from the Mac App Store. Apple handles the download and any payment under its own privacy policy, and none of your payment details reach the developer.

This website

This site has no analytics, no cookies and no scripts. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, and GitHub may log visits as described in the GitHub General Privacy Statement. If you open an issue on GitHub, what you write there is public and handled under GitHub's terms.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. The policy is available in English, 繁體中文, 日本語 and Español; if the translations differ, the English version applies.
